The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency claimed it is actually alarmed with regards to the significant amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high number of clients/beneficiaries click here to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office committed to service the area daily. The provider position designed for intervention encounters a higher inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for that office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more means to permit the servicing of all customers and enhance entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
